Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Mymoree (the "Service") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at mymoree.com, our iOS app, and related services. Mymoree is an AI bookmark manager: you save links, and we extract metadata, generate summaries and tags, and help you search and chat with your library.
By using Mymoree, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account information: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and basic profile details (such as name and profile picture, when the provider shares them). We store authentication identifiers linked to your account. If you use Apple's Hide My Email feature, we receive a private relay address instead of your personal email.
Content you save: the URLs, titles, notes/descriptions, tags, collections, favorites, archives, and reminders you create. When you save a link, our servers may fetch the page (as MymoreeBot) to extract previews, thumbnails, and page content so we can enrich and organize your library.
Derived and AI data: summaries, tags, categories, and search embeddings we generate from your saved content, plus limited usage counters for features such as Ask AI. Chat messages in Ask AI are processed to answer your questions and are not stored as a permanent chat history on our servers.
Billing information: if you subscribe to Mymoree Pro, our payment provider processes your payment details. We store subscription status, plan, and related customer identifiers — not your full card number.
Support messages: if you contact us or submit the support form, we receive your email, message, and optional details such as platform and app version.
Technical data: basic information needed to operate the Service securely, such as device or browser type and authentication session data. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.
Usage analytics: information about how you use the Service — for example that you saved a bookmark, ran a search, or asked a question — as described in "Analytics" below.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate Mymoree: store and sync your library across devices, extract and preview saved links, generate summaries and tags, power search and Ask AI, manage subscriptions, send transactional email (such as support replies and optional Pro reminder digests), secure accounts, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Your library is private by default and visible only to you, unless you choose to share a collection publicly as described below.
4. AI processing
To generate summaries, tags, embeddings, and Ask AI answers, we send relevant portions of your saved content (and, for Ask AI, your question plus retrieved snippets) to our AI provider. We use this processing solely to provide those features to you.
5. Sharing and public collections
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us operate Mymoree — including hosting and infrastructure, authentication (Google and Apple via our identity provider), AI processing, payments, email delivery, and product analytics — under arrangements that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services, or when required by law.
If you create a public collection link, anyone with that link can view the shared collection's bookmarks in a read-only form (such as titles, URLs, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails). Do not share a public link for content you want to keep private. You can stop sharing by turning off public access for that collection.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
On the web, we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and complete authentication (for example, access and refresh tokens). We also store limited preferences locally on your device (such as theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Our analytics provider stores an identifier and your analytics preferences in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. If you decline analytics, nothing is stored and no analytics code is loaded.
On iOS, session credentials are stored securely on your device so you can stay signed in and save links from the share extension.
7. Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand how Mymoree is used so we can decide what to improve. We record product events — such as signing in, saving a bookmark, running a search, or asking a question — along with your account identifier, email address, name, a device identifier, and basic device and usage information. We do not send the text of your searches or your Ask AI questions, or the contents of your saved bookmarks.
This is product analytics, not advertising: we do not build advertising profiles, share analytics data with data brokers, or combine it with data from other companies' apps or websites.
On the web we ask for your consent before collecting any analytics. You can turn analytics off at any time under Privacy in Settings, in both the web and iOS apps.
8. Email communications
We may email you about support requests and account-related matters. If you are on Mymoree Pro and have email reminders enabled, we may send digests about unopened bookmarks. You can turn reminder emails off in Settings.
9. Data retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual bookmarks, collections, and tags at any time.
You can close your account from Settings in the web app or iOS app. Closing your account permanently deletes your account and associated library data (bookmarks, collections, tags, and related derived data). This cannot be undone. If you cannot sign in, email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Some records may be retained as needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or billing (for example, payment webhook records that are not tied to your user profile). If you have an active Mymoree Pro subscription, closing your account also cancels it immediately so you are not billed further.
We do not currently offer a self-serve data export. If you need a copy of your data before closing your account, contact us first.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data against unauthorized access.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update account details through your sign-in provider and manage or delete your library and account in the Service. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time under Privacy in Settings. To exercise other rights, or if you need help, contact us at contact@mymoree.com.
12. Children
Mymoree is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
14. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at contact@mymoree.com.
